Vehicle - Final Pass

This week I struggled severely with all of the UV's for all the intricate pieces for the AVC. I had some difficulty getting this to a final bake, but once the UV's were fixed, it finally came through, thanks Nick :)  I'm enjoying the process of incorporating the materials and seeing it all come together, but admit, there definitely was a time restraint...so I intend to continue this in the next semester.










 
In Unreal...I'm looking forward to getting more experience with lighting and the terrain tool.

HEAD BUST -My VIKING

This week I revised my retopology, to add more polys to my mesh...


Then I reimported my low LOD in Substance for the re-bake, while maintained my textures.



Last, I exported my textures via the Unreal Packed setting and imported into Unreal. I then plugged the corresponding nodes. 
(Reminder to myself to uncheck "sRGB" for the AO Metallic texture.) Then played with the "Light Source" angles and intensity. Also, went into Substance and saved the HDR panoramic background file into Unreal to bring in the same lighting.






















































Then changed to a dark background in Unreal, and added a rim light (placing a Spot light behind the head) to capture those edges.
